Can singulair cause heart palpitations?

i started singulair last night. i went for a walk and my heart rate shot up to 190bpm, along with difficulity breathing and a feeling like i was about to faint. im waiting for my doc to call me back. the symptoms have calmed down but i am suspicious of the singulair. thank you.
